The second painting of my black series. This painting focuses on pursuit in the face of adversity and hopelessness. A lone hero navigating his way up out of the deep, while the ground falls out from beneath him. Ahead, agents of the abyss place a locked door in his path, and with mockery, throw away the key. Despite the cruel malice of the entities trying to impede him, he desperately continues to charge forward, having not yet resigned himself to a miserable fate.
